Basic Rules

Here are the basic rules for a popular game of Texas Holdem:

Traditionally Texas Hold'Em is played with a standard 52 deck of cards. Up to 10 players can join but it comes down to which web site you're playing at. You'll be presented with a virtual table and everyone has their place around it.

Here is some classic terms used:

1. Fold - When you fold it means that you don't want to participate in that round. Once you've folded you are out of that round permanently and will not be able to play until the next hand has been dealt. In the mean time you'll have to watch the round until it finsihes.
2. Call - When you Call someone it means that you're matching their bet
3. Raise - This is the amount that can raise the bet by. It depends what game you are in - as some games have limits on the amount you can raise by; known as pot-limit or no-limit.
